AFRIFF: Goethe, Institut Francais to host Animation workshops

As part of the Franco-German Cultural Fund, the diplomatic and cultural
missions of France and Germany in Nigeria is organising the third in a series of workshops for
animation filmmakers in Nigeria. It is supported by Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF)

According to a joint statement by the institutions, the workshop will take place from November 12-15 at Afrinolly and will be facilitated by the German animation film expert Samuel Weikopf (Berlin). The programme will also feature screenings and panel discussions.

Guest speakers and facilitators are Christophe Guignement (France), Ebele Okoye (Nigeria/Germany), Alexandre Rideau (France), O.J Okosun (Nigeria), Ayodele Elegba (Nigeria), Stanlee Ohikhuare
(Nigeria) Miriam Kwairanga (Nigeria) Stephen Shima Iosun (Nigeria), Tayo Fasunon (Nigeria).

The workshops and seminars, some of which are targeted at teenagers, will focus on topics on improving film quality, capacity building and management strategies, and professional talks for film producers and directors on distribution and international cooperation.
